    The third annual African American Studies Spring Lecture Series will be held on February 6, 2025 at 6 p.m. at the Entergy Theater in the Gore Arts Complex at Mississippi College. The speaker this year is Dr. Vanessa Holden, director of the African American and Africana Studies Program as well as the Central Kentucky Slavery Initiative at the University of Kentucky. She will be presenting on her book Surviving Southampton: African American Women and Resistance in Nat Turner’s Community. We would love for all alumni to come out for this event and to help us spread the word.
